December 17, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 Kirby Drive about 2:30 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Solomon reported:

The male was driving a silver Infiniti Q50 at a high rate of speed westbound near the above address when the vehicle struck a curb. The driver lost control and struck multiple trees.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.

The investigation is continuing.
