August 29, 2024 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 3800 Tidwell Road about 12:05 a.m. today.

The identity and cause of death of the woman, 51, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Wilson and Detective B. Stephens reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at a motel at the above address. Officers were told by management they believed a disturbance occurred and there may be a deceased person inside a room.

Witnesses told officers they heard a male yelling for help from the room and when they went to investigate, found an unresponsive woman on her back suffering from seizure-like symptoms. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.

The investigation is pending the woman's cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
