August 29, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 1635 North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610 West) service road about 11:10 p.m. last Friday (Aug. 23).

The identity of the victim, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the above address - Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital - and found the male suffering from a gunshot wound. Doctors pronounced him deceased.

Officers learned a person(s) in a private vehicle transported the victim to the hospital. Investigators later spoke to the driver and a passenger.

The investigation is continuing, with no known motive or suspect(s).
