August 26, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10500 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 11:05 p.m. last Friday (August 23).

The identity of the deceased male, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer R. Guzman reported:

A vehicle of unknown make or model was traveling northbound (inbound) on the freeway at the above address when it struck a male pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the male deceased.

At this time, there is no known vehicle or suspect description.
