August 20, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 1100 Greens Road about 9:10 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 40, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The driver of a silver Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on Greens Road at the above address in the westbound lanes. The driver then struck a red Dodge Challenger head-on. The driver of the Civic was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The male driver, 32, of the Challenger was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
