April 22, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the apparent suicide of a man at 9500 Ravensworth Drive about 7:05 p.m. on Saturday (April 20).

The identities of the female victim, 44, and the male suspect, 44, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and N. Henderson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found a male and a female unresponsive in a vehicle. Both had sustained gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male and female deceased.

A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene indicated the female driver was shot by the male passenger, who then turned the gun on himself. At this time, the relationship between the male and female has not been determined.
