April 16, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 600 West Canino Road about 9:50 p.m. on Monday (April 15).

The identity of the deceased male, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Watson, M. Burrow C. LaFour and Detective S. Overstreet reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and learned Houston Fire Department paramedics located the victim in the driver's seat of his vehicle, and pronounced him deceased.

The suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle is described only as a tan or beige Chevrolet pickup truck.
