September 27, 2023 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 14833 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 1:30 a.m. today (September 27).  

The identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and J. Escobar reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased female at a motel at the above address and found the female unresponsive in a motel room.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased.  

Further investigation and witness statements indicated the female was known to use narcotics and several people entered the room before she was found unresponsive.  

The investigation is pending autopsy results.
