September 19, 2023 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found in a residential fire at 5711 Yale Street about 2:50 a.m. today (September 19).  

The identity and cause of death of the deceased man, 67, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Watson and M. Burrow reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a trailer at the above address after Houston Fire Department emergency personnel discovered an unresponsive man inside the trailer while extinguishing a fire.  HFD personnel pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

The investigation is pending the man's cause of death.  The cause of the fire is being investigated by the HFD Arson Bureau.
