September 15, 2023 - One of two suspects charged and wanted in the shooting of five men and one woman at 6003 Richmond Avenue about 2:20 a.m. on June 11 is now in custody.

The suspect, Carl Douglas Green, 32, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 209th State District Court.  A booking photo of Green is attached to this news release.

The other suspect, Calvin Rashad Williams, 32, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault against a public servant in the 339th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A 2021 booking photo of Williams, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The suspects are wanted for their roles in the shooting of five male victims - 29, 27, 27, 30 and 32 - and a female, 28.  The victims were transported to hospitals in stable condition, and all have been treated and released

One other male, 27, suffered minor injuries to the arm from broken glass.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives S. Elias and M. Bellahna reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the area near 3100 Fountain View Drive.  Officers working an extra job at the location were flagged down by a witness requesting aid for a shooting victim.  As officers arrived, they learned of additional victims in the area.  

An initial investigation determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a bar at 6003 Richmond Avenue, following an argument with unknown male suspects inside the bar.

On June 21, Green was identified as a suspect and was subsequently charged in the shooting.  The other suspects were unidentified.

On June 26, detectives released surveillance video of Green and a person of interest, known only by the alias "Cabo."  The person of interest was identified as Calvin Williams and he was subsequently charged last Thursday (Aug. 17) as the primary suspect in the shooting.

On August 21, detectives released booking photos of Green and Williams as wanted suspects in the case.  On Wednesday (Sept.13), Green was taken into custody.
