October 9, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman that occurred at 8700 Gustine Lane that occurred about 5:20 p.m. on Sunday (October 8).

The identity of the deceased woman, 56, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective D. Davis and Officer D. Lunceford reported:

Officers responded to a report of a female gunshot victim at the above address and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to Memorial Hermann - Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

At this time there is no known motive or suspect(s).
