October 2, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4600 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 12:25 a.m. on Sunday (October 1).

The identities of the deceased man, 34 and, woman, 24, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson reported:

The man, with a female passenger, was operating a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle southbound near the above address at the split near South Post Oak Road. The motorcycle continued south on the South Loop and struck the west wall. Both the man and woman were ejected from the motorcycle and fell to the ground below.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man and woman deceased.

The investigation is continuing.
