November 13, 2023 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 903 Shirkmere Road about 7:50 p.m. last Friday (November 10).  

The suspect, Christopher Flores, 22, is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court.  A booking photo of Flores is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the victim, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective J. Gardner reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found the victim unresponsive and lying on the living rom floor.  He had suffered a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  

The suspect, later identified as Flores, surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without incident.  The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and Flores was subsequently charged for his role.
