June 27, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4000 Broadway Street about 5:15 p.m. on Monday (June 26).

The identity of the deceased male, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Luu reported:

The male was driving a silver Honda Pilot northbound near the above address when he possibly suffered a medical episode and struck the rear of a red GMC Acadia stopped at a red light at the intersection of the Gulf Freeway (South Interstate 45) service road. Paramedics transported the male to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased. The driver of the GMC was not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
