June 20, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1300 State Highway 6 about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday (June 18).

The identity of the deceased male, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer S. Bouarar reported:

The male was driving a yellow Jeep Renegade northbound at the above address when he crossed the median and struck a silver Mercedes E350 traveling southbound.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. Two passengers in the Jeep, a 21 -year-old female and a 15-year-old male were transported to an area hospital, with the 15-year-old in critical condition. A two-year-old male suffered minor injuries and was transported in stable condition.

The male driver, 27, of the Mercedes was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
