June 20, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4300 West Tidwell Road about 3:20 p.m. on Monday (June 19).

The identities of the two deceased females, 35 and 60, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer K. Stout reported:

The younger female was driving a black Honda Civic southbound in the 5900 block of Bertellis Lane when she left a stop sign to enter the intersection of West Tidwell Road. As the Honda entered the intersection, it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling westbound on West Tidwell Road. The impact caused the Honda to strike a tree in the median. The pickup truck then crossed the median and struck a white Ford Fusion. The Chevrolet then flipped upside down onto its roof and came to a stop in the eastbound lanes of West Tidwell Road.

The passenger (older female) and driver of the Honda were pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver, 18, of the Chevrolet was determined not to be impaired and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The female driver, 42, of the Ford was not injured.

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
