June 12, 2023 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 7615 West Hardy Street about 2:05 p.m. on Saturday (June 10).

The identity of the female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective D. Stark reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person in a metal building at an empty lot at the above address. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive female in the building. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined the female may have been using the building as a shelter.

The investigation is pending the female's cause of death.
