July 27, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4800 Neal Street about 2:55 a.m. today (July 27).

The identity of the male victim, 33, is pending notification to family members of Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Huff and Officer J. Nguyen reported:

HPD officers on patrol observed a black Nissan Altima stopped in a moving lane of traffic at the above address.  Upon investigation, they discovered the victim in the driver's seat of the car, suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.  Responding Houston Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

At this time there is no known motive or suspect(s).
