July 17, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 3806 Faulkner Street about 1:55 p.m. last Friday (July 14).  

The identity of the victim, 14, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Chettry and E. Martinez reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounce deceased.  

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim and another male were inside a bedroom of the residence handling a firearm when the weapon discharged.  The victim was struck by the gunfire.  The other male fled the scene on foot prior to police arriving at the location.
