July 14, 2023 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the shooting of a man that occurred at 9302 Lugary Drive about 10:45 p.m. Thursday (July 13).

Ian Vrabel, 41, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 338th State District Court.  A booking photo of Vrabel is attached to this news release.

The male victim, 32, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives C. Brown and K. Shaver reported: 

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the male victim suffering a gunshot wound.  He was transported to an area hospital by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Officers detained Vrabel at the scene as well as a female witness.  Vrabel was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in the shooting.
