July 6, 2023 - Houston police have learned a woman critically injured in a crash at 2400 Rodney Street about 12:05 a.m. on January 14 has died.

The identity of the victim, 65, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer C. Brothers reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was in a crosswalk at the above address when she was struck by a gray Chrysler 300.  The driver fled the scene, failing to stop to render aid. 

Paramedics transported the woman to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced her deceased on June 22.
