January 30, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 800 West Tidwell Road about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (January 28).  

The identity of the deceased female, believed to be 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer S. Bouarar reported:  

According to witnesses, the victim was driving a silver Mazda 3K westbound near the above address when she failed to stay in a single lane.  The Mazda then went onto the sidewalk and struck a tree. 

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.  A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.  

The investigation is continuing.
