January 30, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1714 Collingsworth Street about 9:50 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 28).

The identity of the victim, 44, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Higgs and C. Bowling reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and observed the unresponsive victim in a field.  He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

At this time, there is no known suspect or motive in the shooting.
