January 23, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 5000 Fannin Street about 11:55 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 20).

The identity of the male pedestrian is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer D. Hoang reported:

The pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle in the parking lot on the corner of Fannin Street and Palm Street. The vehicle dragged the victim into the street and ran him over. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
