January 9, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4600 Texas Spur 5 about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday (January 8).

The identity of the deceased female, 43, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:

Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck at at the Spur 5 feeder road.  Upon arrival the female was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver who struck the victim in an unknown vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render first aid.  

The investigation is continuing.
