February 22, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10200 Aldine Westfield Road about 7:35 p.m. on Thursday (February 23).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer D. Hoang reported:

A gray Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling an HMDE trailer was traveling southbound at the above address while the male was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, also traveling southbound. It is believed the male lost control of the bicycle, fell into the roadway between the pickup truck and the trailer and was struck.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The driver of the Ford, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
