February 21, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 1018 Westheimer Road about 5:30 p.m. on February 16. The identity of the deceased female, 60, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective L. Lovelace:

The victim was found unresponsive on the porch of an abandoned building at the intersection of Westheimer Road and Waugh Drive. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced her deceased.

Following an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, the female's cause of death was ruled a homicide.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
