On December 9, a male victim, 63, stated he was walking on Bettis Drive - in an alley way behind a business - when a female suspect armed with a knife approached him from behind and stabbed him in the face for no apparent reason. The victim said the suspect walked away without saying anything. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital in stable condition.
On December 14, a male victim, 30, stated he was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot at 4323 San Felipe Street when he was struck on the right side of his head by a sharp object carried by a female suspect who approached him from behind. The female walked away without saying anything. The victim was treated at the scene for his injury.
Detectives obtained surveillance video of the female suspect and, together with witness statements, determined it was the same suspect in both incidents.
