December 26, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13400 U.S. Highway 90 about 10:30 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 22).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer J. Best reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was in the middle of the roadway at the above address when he was struck by a silver Honda CR-V traveling in the westbound lanes. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

The female driver, 72, stated she was unable to stop in time before her vehicle struck the male. She did not show signs of intoxication, remained at the scene, and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
