December 5, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11700 Homestead Road about 6:55 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 38, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:

The male was operating a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound at the above address and approaching the intersection with East Mount Houston Road with a green light. At the same time, the driver of a silver Kia Sportage traveling northbound on Homestead Road turned left (with a yield arrow) onto East Mount Houston Road. The motorcyclist struck the Kia in the intersection.

Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene. The female driver, 42, of the Kia was not injured. She was questioned and released, pending further investigation.
