December 4, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 1400 Gregg Street about 5:55 p.m. on Sunday (December 3).

The identity of the deceased female, 53, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer R. Ramos reported:

The woman was crossing Gregg Street - not in a crosswalk - and was struck by a white sedan of unknown make and model. The vehicle fled the scene and did not stop to provide assistance.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
