August 21, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1400 Webster Street about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (August 20).

The identity of the deceased man, 54, is pending varication by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer C. Moralez reported:

The driver of a white Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck was traveling eastbound near the above address when he failed to control his speed and struck a curb. The driver was partially ejected form the pickup truck.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.

The investigation is continuing.
