August 15, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 13200 Fondren Road about 1:20 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased man, in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective K. Vu reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim, unresponsive and lying near a bus stop. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical assistance until Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to an area hospital in critical condition.

Investigators learned the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

As Major Assaults detectives were conducting the investigation at the scene., they were advised doctors pronounced the male victim deceased.

This incident will be referred to the HPD Homicide Division for further investigation.
