August 11, 2023 - Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 220 West El Dorado Boulevard about 10:25 a.m. on June 16 has died.

The identity of the deceased male, 69, s pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The man was driving a garbage truck southbound in a parking lot at the above address when it is believed he suffered a medical episode and crashed into a brick garage building. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to UTMB Health Clear Lake Campus Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Thursday (Aug. 10).

The investigation is continuing.
