August 7, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 3333 Alabama Street about 10:55 p.m. on Sunday (August 6).

The identity of the deceased male, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Fregia reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the male, unresponsive and lying on the sidewalk. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene indicated the male and an unknown male suspect got into an argument in the parking lot of a nearby store before walking down the street. A short time later, multiple shots were heard and the male was found shot.
