August 7, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two women and the apparent self-inflicted fatal shooting of a man at 13403 Preston Cliff Court about 5:35 a.m. on Friday (Aug. 4).

The deceased male is identified as Ronnie B. Richardson, 59.

The female victims, 49 & 28, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition and are expected to survive their injuries.

HPD Special Investigations Unit Sergeant B. Smith and Detectives M. Estep, V. Lewis and R. Anderson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the above address and found a juvenile female outside the residence. Officers were informed of a shooting inside and made entry into the home. Officers heard a disturbance in an upstairs bedroom and attempted to enter the room, but found the door partially blocked.

Officers continued to announce their presence and heard a single gunshot from inside the room. Officers made entry and found Richardson unresponsive in a chair with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers also found two women inside the room suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered first aid. Paramedics transported them to an area hospital.
