August 3, 2023 - The fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of two others at 13900 South Main Street about 7 p.m. Wednesday (August 2) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective J.Gardner reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of a motel at the above address and learned three males had been involved in an altercation. A fourth person intervened, shooting at the three males.

All three males were struck by gunfire. The 36 year old male was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. Private vehicles transported the two other males, 41 & 29, to local hospital. They suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was consulted and it was determined the case would be presented to a Harris County grand jury.
