April 5, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 7901 Leonora Street about 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday (April 4).

The identity of the victim, 54, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Watson and M. Burrow reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call and located the victim lying on the sidewalk in an apartment complex at the above address. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics at the scene.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects in the shooting.
