September 12, 2022 - The fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two others at 5002 Washington Avenue about 2:05 a.m. on Aug. 15 will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The deceased man is identified as German Aguilar, 33.

The two wounded men, 37 and 36 years of age, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Hernandez, S. Overstreet, D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a nightclub at the above address and found Mr. Aguilar unresponsive in the parking lot.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased.

Two other men sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital.  One of the males was shot in the arm.  The other male sustained a self-inflicted wound to the groin.

Detectives learned an altercation between Aguilar and the male shooter occurred in the parking lot leading up to the shooting. Further investigation identified the shooter, who has been cooperative with the investigation.

After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, this case will be presented to a Harris County grand jury for review.
