September 6, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 15300 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 4).

The identity of the deceased male, 88, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer K. Stout reported:

The male was driving a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound on the freeway at the above address when the vehicle crossed several lanes, left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier.  Paramedics transported the driver to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is continuing.
