October 31, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 9939 Bessmer Street about 4:50 a.m. today.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and found the victim lying unresponsive in front of the store. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.

According to witnesses, the suspect is described only as a black male with a light complexion, 35 to 40 years of age, about 6 feet tall and with a slender build.
