November 3, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8300 Telephone Road about 6:55 a.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 2).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer M. Tamez reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was in the roadway when he was struck by a black Jeep Renegade traveling southbound at the above address.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  A preliminary scene investigation revealed the pedestrian failed to yield the right of way to traffic. 

The male driver, 24, of the Jeep remained at the scene.  He was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
