March 24, 2022 - Houston police have learned a male injured in a crash at 4600 Cosby Street about 8:10 p.m. on February 19, has died.

The victim's identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and HPD Southeast Patrol Division Officer C. Jefferson reported:  

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was driving a black Lexus eastbound at the above address, approaching the intersection of New York Street. The driver attempted to avoid another vehicle, lost control and struck a tree.  

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital. Doctors pronounced the victim deceased on Wednesday (March 23).
