March 3, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 8800 Veterans Memorial Drive about 3:55 p.m. on February 28.

The identity of the male victim, 51, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and North Patrol Division Officer A. Abram reported:

The victim was driving a tan Ford F150 pickup truck northbound at the above address when he failed to control his speed and struck the back of a black Chevrolet Tahoe.  The victim's vehicle continued forward and also struck a Toyota 4Runner and then a tree.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. 

It is believed the victim may have suffered a medical emergency which led to the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
