Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1000 Antoine Drive
June 27, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 Antoine Drive about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday (June 25).
The identity of the deceased female, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dunn and Officer J. Johnson reported:
The driver of a red Toyota Camry and two juvenile passengers, 16, and one adult passenger (victim) were traveling westbound on the service road of the 7900 block of the Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10). The driver saw vehicles stopped at at a red light at the intersection of Antoine Drive, pressed the brake and noticed the vehicle was not stopping. The driver steered the Camry to the right to avoid striking the other vehicles and struck a concrete barrier.
The adult female passenger was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. The driver, 16, and the two juvenile passengers of the Camry were transported by HFD paramedics to an area hospital in stable conditions.
There were no indications alcohol was a factor in this crash.
The investigation is continuing.
