June 10, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 9240 Nathaniel Street about 9:05 p.m. on Thursday (June 9).

The identity of the victim, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. LaFour and M. Perez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address. They found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Officers were advised there was an argument between multiple armed male suspects and a couple. The victim was said to have intervened in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. The suspects opened fire and struck the victim multiple times.
