July 21, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 9:35 a.m. today (July 21).  

The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer A. Hart reported:  

A male was driving a white Toyota Corolla at a high rate of speed southbound on the North Freeway service road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete pillar.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this crash.  

The investigation is ongoing.
