July 11, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1100 Telephone Road about 7:55 a.m. on Sunday (July 10).

The identity of the deceased male, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer T. La reported:

The male was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado at a high rate of speed southbound on Telephone Road when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole and came to a rest against an iron fence in front of a building at the above address.  The impact caused the driver to be partially ejected from the truck.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.  There were no other persons in the truck.

The investigation is continuing.
