Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4700 Providence Street
January 25, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4700 Providence Street about 4:50 p.m. on Sunday (January 23).
The victim, an unborn child, was pronounced deceased on Monday (January 24).
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer N. Luu reported:
A three-wheeler All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) backed into a horse during a parade at the above address,. The horse then backed into another ATV. During the incident, the riders of both ATVs fell off their vehicles and were injured. At that time, patrol officers were unaware of a passenger on the first ATV. A passenger on the second ATV injured her leg. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victims to the hospital.
Further investigation determined the injured female passenger of the first ATV was 28 weeks pregnant. Her unborn child died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
