Traffic Incident at 3600 North Loop East

January 8, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident at 3600 North Loop East (westbound) on January 8, 2006 about 4:20 a.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.A. Washington and Officer J. Nickell reported:

A vehicle was traveling westbound when it struck another vehicle that was stopped in a moving lane of traffic. The driver of the stalled vehicle was standing outside of the vehicle and when the accident occurred, it caused him to be thrown off the freeway down to the 5600 block of Hwy 59.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6301 Eppes Street

January 10, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6301 Eppes Street about 7:45 a.m. on Saturday (January 8).

The identity of the victim, 30, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Officer J. Campbell reported:

Officers responded to a report of a deceased male at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  Employees of the business at the above address had arrived to work and found the victim lying in the parking lot. 

Further investigation and evidence from the scene indicated a vehicle, described as a white Dodge Challenger with a stripe on the side, left the scene, possibly after the shooting.  A photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.
